Bora Day 1 and 2

DAY1

My first day in Boracay was a bit slow. My RORO adventure messed up my itinerary so I have to improvise based on what I have learned from the net.

We walked around to look for a place to stay and I stumbled on Titay’s Place over the net and gave us a hefty discount of 900 per night. The place is ok for a budget traveler, at a normal price of 1.2K-1.5K, it’s not bad.   We took our breakfast at around 9am in Titay’s place; the food was typical but delicious. Free coffee, 5 pcs of Eggplant omelet, a plate of scrambled eggs, 2 side plates of “Danggit” and 5 cups of rice. We were so tired from the “almost” a day’s trip, so we decided to take a nap to re-charge.

At around 4pm we got up and walked along the beach paradise. The sea was calm and the sun was doing its thing…

The walk from station 2 to 1 was just perfect. The sun is up, everyone walking on a slow pace and the place was not as crowded.

 

I just can’t miss taking the picture of the All-Flip-Flops store, a heaven for me and my pal Pauline.

 

After the long walk, we got so thirsty. Were to go? The infamous Jonas Fruit Shakes.

It was just a minute walk from the beach; we got some Mango Melon then continued walking along the beach.

It was already 5:30pm at that time and ate in the front beach dine-in Jonas store in Station one.

Can’t get enough of breakfast food… hehehe

Tired from walking, we decided to go back to the room and sleep to replenish our energy for our night out.

Our night started at around 11pm with a knock from the door. Aries, was already waiting outside to give us a boost in the night life of Boracay.

The first stop was Juice bar, we didn’t stay becoz the place was dry (not much people)

Second stop, EPIC (D’Mall). So far, Aries seems to be a celebrity in Bora. From time to time people would greet him and it was fun, coz we get to know people. A couple of drinks, a bit of grooving to the beat and we were off to the next bar.

The last was Club Parau(Station 1). The last time I went to Boracay we partied at Guilly’s, Club Parau was not a bad place to do it after all.

We stayed till 3:30am and went straight to the food stands where we ordered 2 buy1take1 burgers and the yummy ISAW to go! Ate back in the room and slept drunk.

 Day 2

I woke up first at around 9:30am and got my hair cut in D’Mall. 

First Bora haircut… hehehe Nag mukha daw ako totoy…

1pm, Aries was once again knocking on our door for a bit of drinking, “THE BAR” vodka with lime juice and our beach tour. Aries had officially taken the responsibility of being our tour guide in Bora…

The weather was perfect; we walked along the beach towards the end of station 3, occasionally dipping in the water to cool down from the heat…

After 20mins of walking Joevert and I were already ranting… We took a break and got some fruit shake and rested a bit… 

We got to the end of station 3 at around 3:30pm. There were lots of rock formations and did some, as usual, picture taking and enjoyed the sea…

 

According to Aries, those rocks were at times covered with sand. I’m thinking, it was awfully a lot of sand becoz the rocks were HUGE.

At around 5pm we decided to go back, but since we didn’t want to walk going back, Tric was the only option.

Before 6pm we were off to our last destination for the day, Shangri-la Boracay for our dinner sponsored by our tour guide Aries. 

We took another tricycle ride to the entrance of the resort were the van was waiting for us.

You’ll just be awed from the view going to their reception area.

Kuya driver was kind enough to stop at times for me to take some pictures…

The place was in-deed SHANGRI-LA!  The place was just relaxing and wonderful.

Dinner Time!

After dinner Rom, another friend of Joevert and Aries working in the resort gave us a quick tour to the wine cellar and the cozy lounge of Theiror Shangri-la.

Last look...

After our Shangri-la Dinner we were picked-up by the van and dropped us in D’Mall. We bought some dessert @Ice Monster and called it a night…
